About this Episode

As we witness what some Jewish leaders have called “a second Nakba,” leaving Palestinians with three dire options: displacement, subjugation, or death — essentially ethnic cleansing, apartheid, or genocide — join us for an enlightening interview with renowned Israeli historian Ilan Pappe about his groundbreaking book The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine. Pappe provides a meticulous account of the 1948 expulsion of Palestinians, arguing that it was a deliberate and systematic effort by Zionist leaders to create a Jewish state, a narrative that takes on new urgency in light of the current war on Gaza and violent settlement expansion in the West Bank.
